Japanese lacquered box

This is a lovely Japanese lacquered box. Made I think in the 1930s for the export market the box is made of black lacquered wood with a hinged lid. The background lacquer on the lid is a bronze/amber colour with black graining with an overlaid geometric design of graduated silver lines and a red circle. The box is signed on the bottom right hand corner of the lid in silver Japanese characters. The base is signed "Made in Japan" There is a lock but no key.
